The Community Church of Pepperell

About Us
Our Congregational Style

Even though the world has changed much since the arrival of our Pilgrim forebears to our shores in 1620, the fundamental underpinnings of their Congregational faith remain a part of us today as a community of believers who receive spiritual guidance from our ordained pastors and from one another.

Our church is affiliated with the
United Church of Christ and the Unitarian Universalist Association . Our style of life is built around the fact that our church is autonomous and self-reliant. All members are considered to be ministers of the Gospel. The independence of the congregation grants its members the freedom and openness of their convictions, but also imposes on them the responsibilities of running the church. Our members support our church in its work, its worship, its finances and its mission both locally and worldwide. Coordination and planning for our church’s ministry, mission and of its life together is provided by a Church Council and six commissions.

You are welcome to inquire about and explore the meaning of membership in the church, whether you are already a church member, are seeking membership or are inquiring about what it means to belong to a church or to be a Christian in today’s world.
